The “Quick Tips for Savvy Women-Taking Control of Your Work,Your Wealth, Your Worth”, came from a recent women’s networking event for Wharton and Harvard Business School graduates. The room was full and we had great speakers to lead the event and discussions centered on women and careers. My AHA moment came from the types of questions that were asked by women of all ages about career and transitions, which were the same ones I asked some 35 years ago. Except in those early years there were no women’s networking event to share our experiences! During the event I asked myself, “Wow, Haven’t we come a long way baby?” “Not as much as I thought and what can I do to help”.
