Ageless Patterns are reproductions from actual 1800's patterns. 5/8" seam allowances and grain lines have been added. These patterns were sized for the original time period so it is strongly recommended that one make a muslin mock-up to adjust to today's figure (specifically the waist) the ease and fit of the by gone days are not what we use for today's fashions! This original corset was made of white jean and was bound at the top and bottom with linen tape and was trimmed with needlework insertion, which is underlaid with colored ribbon and edged with lace.
