Joan's Specialty handmade red and black lace three piece 1940s or early 50s lingerie set. This beautiful set from the early 1950s consists of a handmade bra, tap pants and half slip. Silky cold rayon and black lace, the bra is lined in black tulle. The bra is hand made with darts at the cups for shape and fit, the cups are attached to the band and plunge at the center front V. The straps are black satin ribbons, they are not adjustable, you could shorten with a stitch but you would have to add new ribbons if you need longer straps. The bra is adjustable at the back with a hook and 4 holes to adjust.
The panties have a seamed band waist and close at the side with snaps at the waist and side opening. The panty legs and sides are trimmed with wide black lace
The slip is below knee length and A line in shape with a slight flair at the hem. The hem is a deep band of black lace that is trimmed at the top with black picot ribbon bows. The slip closes at the side with a snap and a painted metal zipper.
This set is in very good condition and doesn't look like it was worn very much. There is a very tiny hole in the band of the There are a couple of very light marks on the , nothing that is noticeable of affects wear.
The bra and panties are labeled Joan's Specialty the slip is missing the label.
We had a few lingerie sets all labeled Joan's Specialty. We purchased them a number of years ago from the original elderly owner. She told us her husband ordered them for her when he came home from World War II.
In excellent wearable condition. All our clothing is dry cleaned and inspected for condition and is ready to wear. Any condition issues will be noted. For visual comparison our mannequin is a size 4.
