Eight ornaments and two everyday objects cast in metal: six bangles, one anklet with two large rattles, one necklace with three small rattles, one bell and one small bottle with a top. The items belong to various tribes: Bobo Bwa or Yoruba (made of copper, in the shape of a double cone, engraved with motifs of anchors and suns), Mossi (white metal, with geometric engravings), 2 x Lobi (with a twisted spiralling half, a smooth ridge on the outside and a wave motif on the inner rim), Dan-Bete or Senufo (high arm cuff with 2 spirals and braid décor on both edges), Cameroon (arm cuff with central bulging ridge and openwork fields), the anklet: Yoruba (copper with geometric décor of spike motifs), the necklace: Verre or Dan (brass spheres and 3 rattles, attached to a fabric band), the bell and the small bottle: Dan (yellow cast-alloy, brass). All 10 objects with good, old usage patina. First half of the 20th century. (ME)
