n its recently released decision, Hawkes v. Max Aicher (North America) Limited, 2021 ONSC 4290 (“Hawkes”), the Ontario Divisional Court affirmed the reasoning in Paquette found that the employer’s global payroll is assessed when calculating the employer’s payroll, and not just its payroll in Ontario.
